We call the whole of the ultrasonic transducer connected with the horn vibrator. Ultrasound transducer can produce regular vibration under appropriate electric field excitation. Its amplitude is generally about 10 micron. It is not enough to complete welding and processing directly. After connected with a reasonably designed horn, the amplitude of the ultrasonic wave can vary in a wide range. As long as the material strength is enough, the amplitude can exceed 100 microns. On the other hand, when the horn is in longitudinal expansion vibration, the movement direction of the particles on the left and right sides of a cross section in the middle is just opposite, which is equivalent to the existence of a relatively static joint. This node is called node, which is also the best fixed point of the oscillator. Deviation from the fixed node will reduce the working efficiency of the oscillator, commonly known as leakage wave. Generally speaking, the sound transmission efficiency of aluminium horn is high, but its material strength is low, it is easy to crack and screw hole slide; the strength of steel horn is high, but its acoustic impedance is relatively large; the comprehensive performance of titanium alloy horn is good, but its disadvantage is high price and difficult processing.
